Founded by Luca Benini in 1989, Slam Jam Socialism , the eclectic Italian company is known worldwide for its research and distribution capacity in the world of urban culture and streetwear .
Slam Jam has always mixed fashion , art and music as cornerstones of its philosophy. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, it has chosen an exceptional context, the spaces of the Marino Marini Museum in Florence.
Inaugurated on January 8 with a preview party by invitation only, the space will be open until January 14 and we at 152 Store assure you that it is an experience not to be missed for all lovers of Italian streetwear.
Slam Jam has chosen its historical partners to set up the spaces. With the US brand Carhartt WIP , Nike and the Stussy online store, he has designed a series of unique installations and artistic performances which, in symbiosis with the museum's permanent collections, create an unrepeatable mix of classic and modern.
The ground floor hosts the collaboration with Carhartt WIP which, together with the Kaleidoscope platform, best expresses the synergy between contemporary art and ' urban culture ': the duo OrtaMiklos ( @ortamiklos ) signs an installation and performance that recalls industrial works and the recovery of related waste.
The top floor houses a project in collaboration with Nike, with the presentation of the iconic Nike 1977 'Blazer' model, an installation by the Gonzalez Haase AAS studio in Berlin .
Stussy , on the other hand, presents a short movie on the world of professional billiards, linking itself to the 8 ball iconography of the American brand, directed by Edward Quarmby .
