The White Street Market in Milan has just closed its second edition in January 2019, and we at 152 Store have been there, and we'll explain why it was a success.

For those who don't know what we're talking about, the White Street Market is the first Italian event entirely dedicated to 'street' fashion, better known as streetwear fashion . A convention sponsored by the municipality of Milan and the Chamber of Fashion, organized by White, Probeat Agency and Nss Factory, which directly unites the best streetwear brands with an audience of enthusiasts.

That's right, the public of fans of streetwear sweatshirts and shoes has been placed at the center of the entire initiative, and this is the reason for its success, making it unique in the streetwear environment of Milan and the entire Italian panorama.

The White Street Market took place in the Tortona area, at Superstudio Più, from 12 to 14 January, during Men's Fashion Week . 60 of the best clothing brands , from New Balance to Timberland , from Iuter to Fila set up unique spaces and presented capsule collections and exclusive launches, all in full streetwear style.

Many young people besieged the stands to grab the most exclusive outfits, the new 997H at the New Balance stand or a sweatshirt from the latest Iuter x Adventure Time capsule.

Massimiliano Bizzi, founder of the White Street Market, declares a record of 14,800 visitors and almost 500,000 social impressions, supported by the many influencers present, such as the sneaker designer Salehe Bembury ( @salehebembury ), the singer Rochelle and the fashion blogger Eleonora Caruso .

Among the coolest initiatives, Nss Magazine present with the Nss kicks space, a place dedicated to the world of sneakers, animated by Workshops, art exhibitions and a lounge space.

Over 45 activities present at the White Street Market, including talks, workshops, sport performances and exhibitions, such as the vintage skate collection set up by Primitive Skateboarding . Or the Best Art Vinyl with the most beautiful vinyl covers of 2018.

So why did we like it so much? Because streetwear events like this are needed in Italy, conventions are needed where street culture enthusiasts can meet, where content, culture and taste can be created and shared.
